Scotland remains committed to onshore wind as the lowest-cost new-build electricity generation in the UK. With ambitious targets in place Scotland will continue to need more onshore wind development in locations where it can be accommodated.
We believe that this provides an opportunity to support and complement our corporate PPA model with wind projects of around 3 - 10 turbines in Scotland, which take proper account of the landscape, environments and communities where developments may be sited.
Farm Energy therefore carefully review and select sites, with project design and layouts considered in relation to any potential constraints to development as well as identifying opportunities for environmental enhancement.
We work hard to develop strong relationships with landowners, local communities, and statutory consultees and are supported by a team of consultants who are highly reputable in their field.
